Violetta Savchits was born in 1992 in Vilejka, Belarus. The photojournalist studied international relations and tourism in Minsk. Since the beginning of the protests against the rigged election in her home country, she has continuously documented them photographically, with a special focus on the role of women. She works for major Belarusian media.
